QEW Engineered Rubber breaks ground on the new 0.5 MW solar park at our production plant in Hoogezand. 1.500 solar panels covering almost 7.000 m2 will power a part of our factory with green energy.
Today we’ve had the official contract signing for the 500 kWp solar park at our production plant in Hoogezand, The Netherlands. Our partner HMB GmbH and their Dutch entity HMB Solar Nederland BV have been a great help in our journey towards this point and they have been awarded with the design, installation and “turn-key” delivery of this important project.

Natural rubber is a sustainable material that is used for more than 40,000 products, among others natural rubber is applied in construction (adhesives, sealants), medicine (gloves, tubing) and transportation (matting, tyres) industries. Because of the high quality of natural rubber in many products it cannot be completely replaced by synthetic rubber.
Good is good....Better is better. With this in mind the QEW Engineers developed a complete new range of compounds for the tire industry.
